Do you have other Amex cards? And did they say to you that you can't have the (not very useful) Priority Pass?
No other Amex cards in HK (I hold Amex cards in Australia and Singapore but they aren't linked in any way). They did mention the Plaza Premium (not Priority Pass, right?) benefit which will continue as normal.
I should mention that my spend was something like $135k so pretty close to the target.
