I am planning a wedding reception in the local Marriott. The bill will come to $10,000. I read that UA/Marriott has a deal where 3 miles = US$1 (i.e. with $10,000 spent on the reception, I'll get 30,000 miles). Can someone please confirm before I sign the contract? Btw, I am also a Marriott Rewards Silver member.
