Recommend you HUACA. Plat line might be more knowledgeable. Recently (1-2 months ago) ticketed a reservation with CX operated/AY marketed, and AY CS rep had no problem selecting the seat I wanted (for some reason, without asking me, AY's booking system had even pre-selected a seat for me, but I preferred another one). If I recall correctly, I called the Plat line.
