So while I know your statistics were slightly tongue-in-cheek, there is a wider constituency out there of FTers who are also feeling the pain even if they are not active on this thread. There have been a lot of overblown complaints - just as everywhere else on FT, about everything - but I hope that IB does consider it its mission to provide a better experience than "we'll just have to learn to put up with this".
This is absolutely correct. According to the main page, FT has 710K members plus probably half that in lurkers on a regular basis. Of that group, there are maybe 12-15K members online at any given time. Of that group, it is unlikely more than a few percent are active enough on FT to care about or even notice minute design changes and of those few percent, I'm guessing even fewer even know there is a place to voice complaints.

Like Globaliser, I've noticed quite a few threads throughout the forum of people complaining about design changes/flaws but moderators either delete or move those threads and so people can't find them. IB has already removed the announcement sticky about the design change from the top of every sub-forum so that makes it even less likely anyone will find where to voice complaints they have and the technical feedback forum is buried at the very bottom of the directory.

More importantly, valid and well thought out criticisms about the UI in this very thread have gone completely unacknowledged, making it even less likely that users with similar complaints will pile on. Yes, bugs and glitches are things that should be addressed first before cosmetic issues, but this is a feedback thread and not a bug thread so at the very least, cosmetic UI issues that are brought up need to be acknowledged. Even if just to say "this is how it is, we aren't changing it, period." I'd respect that more than ignoring complaints entirely, especially when many of the complaints are coming from experienced web designers who do this for a living.

It is clear that IB has a certain "style" to their forums as most of them look very similar in color, layout and design but I would very much encourage IB to at least recognize that FT is a different animal. An awful lot of the regular members of this site are accessing the site via mobile and in transit on airplanes. Having a site with a blinding color palette that is barely functional on mobile devices is not exactly catering to your target audience. A little understanding would go a long way.
