I have had 2 good experiences with SS. Once at JFK flying with family in WT when I had a Silver card, we were sent by the J checkin staff to see the SS lady at F check-in. It turned out to be a mistake of some sort but she could not do enough for us. It was a bad weather day and the flights were completely full and in chaos, but she still managed to whisk up 2 WT+ seats for the 3 of us to share as we wanted. She then escorted us personally through the F security line. It did not matter that I was not the VIP she was expecting. We were still given the same service !

Some weeks ago I was in the F lounge in T1 (by now with Gold card) and pounced on the SS man to see if he could sort out my wife and daughter (both only bluecards) upper deck seats in J on their forthcoming MFU flight following me out to HKG. He said that he had no access to seats other than as shown in the system but that he would see what he could do. They were given 62JK on check-in. For their return in WT+ (no NCW available for an MFU) they were given the bulkhead seats without asking. I am sure this was all courtesy of Mr SS.
