I was trying to book JNB-HKG-PEK and just got off the phone with the agent. The agent told me this is not possible to book into one award as either departure or arrival city has to be North America. Is this true? One thing to note is that I do have mixed cabin (JNB-HKG in J and HKG-PEK in W as J is not available). I currently only booked JNB-HKG segment for 42.5k miles. There is no Africa to Asia award. Its an Africa to Hong Kong award. You would need separate award HK to Asia. They might be able to put it in the same PNR so you don't need separate tickets. It might be better just to pay cash for HKG-PEK
