Once they updated it to show it being issued by the US then they were able to check me in successfully and, at that point, I could download the BP to my iPhone. For those who get the other scenario which is the OLCI getting stuck in a loop asking for passport / API details apparently BA are aware of this, it is intermittent, only affects people travelling to the US, and they are working to address it.
My wife and I both have this same Canadian issued Green card bug and so far BA seem incapable of fixing it so all our BA bookings to the US have this error. I found that Royal Jordanian manage my booking shows more information on API than BA, or other Oneworld sites so picks up the Green Card being issued by Canada problem but can’t seem to correct it.
Since my wife could not check in online recently and her flight was overbooked she ended up being denied boarding so not at all happy given it’s a bug in BA’s system that causes the issue in the first place. It’s good to know an agent at NCL can over ride this on the day of travel since they don’t seem to be able to correct this in the API ahead of time.
So far 3 calls to BA and not any closer to a fix, if there is a BA representative on Flyertalk I hope they can help get this bug resolved?
