To all of those who are saying that most pax would prefer the seat up front - my point is that it shouldn't matter. As everyone on FT knows, there is an art to seat selection and there is no way a GA knows what a passenger's ultimate preferences are. As such, it is not appropriate to move a passenger under the assumption that a seat in the same class is going to be superior to the seat that the pax had personally selected.

Maybe GAs are changing the OP's seat in anticipation of needing seats together. Alternatively, they might be assuming that the OP didn't really want to be among families with kids (especially when traveling alone on a B fare, so presumably a business traveler) or in the last row next to the lavatories or noise from the rear galley, but picked the seat because it was the only aisle that was left when the ticket was purchased.
I disagree with moving a high fare paying elite passenger to make room for a family that wants to sit together without consultation of said elite. That is perhaps just my opinion but I feel like that is not an unreasonable proposition.
