As I stated, most people, especially an elite would pick the last row only if every other seat was taken. I get that for you that isn't the case. However for nearly every other passenger that is the case. The last row can lack recline on a lot of planes due to bulkhead, is by the galleys and lavs, etc.. Also on some flight lengths (especially international flights) they're supposed to leave the row for FA rest.
