I'm hoping someone could help me. We are arriving on China southern to Guangzhou on Oct. 15 at 6:25pm and won't be leaving for Vancouver until the next day at 2pm.
I've tried to book the transit hotel through the website and also the app.
The message kept coming up as your fare is not eligible for hotel and to call their centre.
I've tried calling them and was advised that I'm eligible for the complimentary hotel and if cannot book ahead then go to the desk at the airport provided that I'm able to get the 24 hour permit to enter China.
My questions are:
Has anyone ever encounter difficulty obtaining the permit?
Also, my confirmation shows "fare family: economy superdeal". Is this the reason I cannot book online?
I just wanted to be sure, otherwise I would book a hotel on my own but most hotels have 24 hours advance cancellation policy and I won't know until I get there. Btw the Pullman is not available for my date.
