This explains why many times Alaska agents will say “I don’t even see that flight.” What I normally do is give the agent specific flight numbers for them to check.
I actually gave them the specific flight number I was looking for and most still said they couldn't see it. Strange, but I guess they wouldn't see it at all if there was some sort of time-based filter applied. Still the variation from agent to agent is a little unnerving.
