But keep asking for other flights. Just as AS agents sometimes can't find flights that AA/BA/QF can, there are other times they find flights that AA/BA/QF CAN'T!!

This explains why many times Alaska agents will say “I don’t even see that flight.” What I normally do is give the agent specific flight numbers for them to check.
