Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong - but that is how I understand the system
I'm not sure if that's the case. Based on my conversations with AC and UA today, it sounds like each segment has its own base fare associated, and they didn't appear to be simple pro rata allocations of the total base fare based on miles.
