However, I (rather stupidly) hung up to transfer miles over, and when I called back (several times), the Alaska agents aren't able to see it and (more strangely) aren't able to see that flight at all. Any thoughts on this? I'm a new MVP Gold 75K and trying to understand how Alaska works.

Thanks a lot for the help!

Yup, happens frequently. Keep HUCA'ing. Also, if it's a flight like BOSHKG that leaves at 0100, remind the agent that it leaves at an odd time so he/she needs to include the hour. AS doesn't have flights leaving at this hour ordinarily, so the system sometimes doesn't default to capture flights around this time.

But keep asking for other flights. Just as AS agents sometimes can't find flights that AA/BA/QF can, there are other times they find flights that AA/BA/QF CAN'T!!
