Hello,

I know you probably heard this questions a billion times, but I'm asking those who have been through the same.
I have called immigration police, Consulate and Both my Airlines.
I have a Moroccan passport and I'm a permanent resident of the US. (green card holder). I will be flying from US to Morocco on a round trip to visit family along with my husband. in the round trip and through each one of the trips I will have to go from T1 to T4 and from T4 to T1.
My question is for those who have been through the same layover. Is there an immigration checkpoint in between those two terminals?
I know it says on the website I don't need a transit visa. but the consulate says I need a schengen because there is no transit area in between. I have no desire or will to stay in madrid, But I would like to know if I'm gonna need to leave the airport on T1 to go to T4 and vice versa.
Again both airlines said there is only security and no immigration, so did the immigration police. But the consulate is trying to have me get a schengen ? which I know might be a fail since I'm not on the best financial position.
