This must have been a terrible shock for your wife, thank goodness she wasn't hurt.

Obviously I wasn't there, but I have seen crews in First refuse alcohol to passengers, including GGLs so I hope status wasn't a consideration in allowing this particular passenger to become so intoxicated.
