The previous answer says it all, but just to be clear, once you book a rate, it does not go up or down. (Sometimes they will try
to charge you a higher rate, but if you show a printed reservation, I've always gotten the booked rate.)
Rental car reservations are much easier to cancel than airfares or many hotel reservations.
