Might be because I am pretty much familiar with Frankfurt :-).Considering that Frankfurt is a massive hub dealing with legally totally different types of transfer which might or might not involve security, customs and passport, only customs no passports, only passports no customs and quite a few combinations of this or simply nothing but going to the next gate, Frankfurt deals pretty well with this. I find transfers in Frankfurt easier than in any big US airport and certainly easier than in LHR or CDG. Munich is an airport easier to deal with, however there is quite a bit of criticism about Frankfurt just because it is en vogue to bully that airport. Other airports send everybody through security again despite you might depart from the neighboring gate (LHR is a good example for that), Frankfurt tries to make it as easy as the legal prerequisites and the layout allow and this can become complicated.

I understand the complications which arose from expansion, terminals added on & Schengen & non Schengen.
I don’t like LHR or CDG for the same reasons.
Bullying FRA
it’s a Big airport & ought to be able to adsorb some criticism.
This thread is about a pax with a Baby trying to get from late B gates to Z25 a considerable distance with security in between, not pleasant.
FRA could make life easier for pax in transit by not forcing unessesary security screening for arriving & transiting pax, for example U.K. arrivals at B, this only requires a direct door to be opened but they dont\ won’t do it, even F pax arriving at outside position no longer get dropped off at clean arrival/ transit points most of the day & no explanation is provided as to why, just FRAPORT inflexibility.
MUC & other airports are great, for me FRA is a mess.
