That is interesting of your opinion. Air China use the same long haul business class seats as Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and few others. Food is not very good but service has been good and sincere. I think the price matches the expectation. Of course you are free to pay double to take the 'real' business class product with Lufthansa yet the seats are the same of Air China. I would consider CX, AY, SK, AF, SQ, (VS, MH for LHR) a long haul business product better than CA.
LX and OS I heard it is not that bad.
The price of SK quite competitive as well, CX is direct flight - of course very expensive, while the others I do not remember the price.
Ex-FRA or Miles-and-More base, LH group can be fairly expensive
I don't have a intuition that CA is a lot cheaper than AY, SK, AF, when the ticket is issued without great discount. ex-FRA case
