Apologies for cross-post, this thread seems better suited to my question.

Originating TPE for JFK, China Air in J. Flight leaves T2. May I check in T1, use T1 lounge (which is better than T2), then easily get to T2? Or do I have to check in T2, backhaul to T1 for lounge, then return T2 for flight - and is that even allowed?
