I gave them a potential time range of about 2.5 hours and they were able to book me in without any issues. Seems definitely worth trying to do it a day or two ahead of the official 28 day window.

Once again, calling 29 days before did the trick.
^ Another data point for calling 29 days out here! I'm flying on 05/05 (30 days from today): I just rang YouFirst out of interest to see if I could book already, and was told by the agent that that he could currently only book up to 04/05, as bookings normally open 29 days before the flight.
(Having said that, an email I got from YouFirst in November confirming my cabana booking also says that "the opportunity to book a complimentary Elemis Spa treatment will open up for your flight on 7th April (ie 28 days before my flight...), so please do contact us from this date if you wish to reserve a slot." So who knows?!)
