Old v New BA.com: Same flight, different prices...

I have often noticed that, when searching for a flight on BA.com, the price of a J flight is often lower when searching for Y fares than when searching for J. No idea why - I guess some sort of dynamic algo.

However searching for a flight to TXL next month I've noticed that the price on the new BA.com is 20-25% more expensive than the identical flight on old BA.com - I've double checked backwards and I'm not seeing things.

Anyone able to explain? I know that its worth clearing one's History when looking for flights but this is, I think, different (otherwise surely the algo would have picked up the later, more expensive, offer and not re-offered the cheaper one). Or perhaps its to do with the fact that the old site is no longer properly maintained. Either way, its very odd...
