People do use their phone for the alarm (and more than occasionally sometimes use their phone full stop), there is noise from luggage trolling, people snoring, coughing, chatting etc. and from people requesting showers as shower reception is right there with the quiet space reception. They are not very quiet at all and in practice, you'll be lucky if you manage to sleep at all, but if so your alarm on will not make much of a different to other people around.
I think you're being a bit alarmist here. The "quiet areas" are not really that "quiet", but they aren't overly "noisy" either.
I've never had a problem sleeping in the "quiet area" behind the business centre.
