I tried a search, but couldn't find a relevant response. So, I thought I'd post this to see if more knowledgeable MR members could assist...

My most recent CY stay just posted, and in addition to my base earnings and 20% silver elite bonus, there are points equal to my base earnings for the stay posted under the heading "NEW MEMBER ACTIVATION OFFER".

I can't recall signing up for any promos, and technically, I'm not a new member (joined Jan '04 and reached Silver in April).

Any ideas as to why I received the points (and more importantly, how many more I might be able to get? )
