Brutal.
HUCA.
Second rep was a bit nicer. She said "Your account is not eligible for retentions". I guess unlike in the past Citi has some spend-based algorithm that determines if an account even qualifies to get transferred.
She did offer me a conversion to Bronze which I accepted after confirming that there would be no credit pull. But the account number will change.
A couple of questions:
A. Will the bronze downgrade reset the 24-month churn clock on the Citi AA Platinum?
B. Will the downgrade count against Chase 5/24?
