I have had some issues with booking a mixed class itinerary HKT-KUL-DPS one-way with Malindo: econ between HKT-KUL and Biz between KUL and DPS. Various OTAs can ticket a mixed booking, but Malindo can't. Fine.

Attempt 1: I booked via Expedia. It prominently display the "business" verbiage in the booking process and online confirmation pafe, but when I look up the booking in the stultifyingly useless malindoair.com website, it displayed on Itinerary 1 as Economy Promo (V) for the HKT/KUL leg and Economy Promo (I) for KUL/DPS. When I pulled out my Expedia itinerary in my email, it displayed as Econ in both cabins! Rather annoyed, I promptly cancelled that ticket at $255 within the 24hr free cancellation window. I don't think the booking was in place for 24 minutes (I have both the confirmation page and the ticketing email with the discrepancy

Attempt 2: I rebooked on Orbitz which displayed a business D fare (yay, D is usually a biz bucket!), albeit for another $45. Between the better time (departure ex-HKT at 13:40, lounge access in KUL, and some extra comfort en-route. Pro: Orbitz's info shows a business class ticket KUL-DPS on all paperwork and well as a seat 1C. Go on Malindo Air...sweet baby freakin Jesus, Economy Promo (V) and (D). I'd like to sort this out within the 24 hour window and before showing up at the desk and risking having paid $300 for a Y ticket I could have had for half that price.

Any insights/experience? I can't find any reference to their fare buckets online.
