Well, sort of, except it has the infrastructure of a very small terminal, including a club lounge, and it's reachable by dedicated shuttle from either T4 or T5. And unlike remote stands, you still have access to aircraft without stairs.
I don't like flying in and out of that part of LAX (and I just did it Saturday) but for what it is I'd say they manage it really well.
If it were a rail link instead of a bus, most would probably say it's better equipped and more accessible than LHRT5C (with respect to lounges and number of stops required to reach it) but arguably not as nice as LHRT5B.
