TfL free zone for buses extends along part of Bath Road up to Harlington Corner and down to Hatton Cross. There is no need to tap any Oyster card within the free zone if you are staying within it.

HEX is free only between T5-T2/3-T4 stations. No card needed.

Tube is free between T5-T123-T4 stations. You can go to Hatton Cross to transfer between a T5 and T4 train and that’s free as long as you remain tubeside. You need a contactless payment or Oyster card to
tap in and out.
