Mid-December through January 6 and sometimes into mid-January (especially SA/OZ) it is rare to find anything, and almost non-existent at this late a date. I got the last award for a January 7 flight at 330 days out for a South America-US itinerary. Many others like myself tend to book as far out as possible, and even then it is hard to find awards over the December/January holidays. I wanted to travel on January 6th, but had to settle on the 7th instead. FWIW, I see a good bit of LAX-DOH J class in early December, but don't see any DOH-GOI availability at all. In the case of LAX-DOH, my guess is you may be trying to find awards closer to the latter half of December.

There are exceptions in certain markets, and airlines. Many complain about BA fuel fines, but those same fuels fines makes finding premium awards on BA routes that much easier, and why available awards on other airlines get booked quickly. While paying $200-500 in BA fuel fines for a Y award is absolutely no deal, and since BA J sucks, then paying the same amount for F award is a much easier pill to swallow.
