Singapore Airlines uses Concourse B. My question is will we need to go through security once we disembark at FRA going from Concourse B to Z, or is it just a simple walk over? What about the next morning when we head back to catch our flight to JFK... will we need to go through security then as well, going from Z to B? Thanks - just want to be prepared since it'll be slightly more complicated with a little one!
Yes, SQ flights arrive & depart at B gates. I’m fairly sure you will need to go through transit security at B, to go to Z, both are non Schengen.
On the way back I think you can avoid it.
@ Newbierunner is the expert on this.

Its a long walk to Z 25 & the My cloud transit hotel, if you look at the FRA map it’s actually a shorter distance to the Sheraton or Hilton, which are of course landslide but they offer a more regular hotel experience & could be cheaper.
