I would not advise connecting at LHR at all. You have one shot to hit the Singapore flight and if you don't, there aren't any other easy options for you. Put me down for option D - all connections through Star Alliance hubs so irrops doesn't leave you either delayed for hours and hours or stuck in a middle seat on a bad plane.
