When I lived in PHX I was working for a company that pressured us to use things like Supershuttle instead of taxis to get to the airport. I was flying at least twice a week at the time. They even had a range map out from PHX. If you lived within it, you were REQUIRED to. I lived within that circle, however I had figured out where to download discount coupons for an offsite parking lot that made the cost about 10 dollars less than the Supershuttle. So I could park my own car, leave at my leisure, and have my car waiting for me when I arrived home. My boss at the time immediately laid into me about the policy until I showed him that I was saving 20 dollars a trip doing this, and not only did he pat me on the back for saving a bit of money...he started doing the same thing himself. The only pain was that we had to fill out the exception report EVERY TIME so the bean counters wouldn't get upset.
