LHR T2 now has a Flight Connections center on the T2B concourse for pax connecting T2B-T2B. It’s at the bottom of the escalator just before you turn right for the underground walkway.

It’s purposely designed for this type of connection, and will save a good 20 minutes in walking to A and back, assuming it’s open at that time.
