Between 1 and 2, I take 1, the IAD connection.

Regarding PEK, I am not sure if many have transited there recently. It was horrible and definitely avoid and I had been one of many who voted against it. However, I was surprised it got better recently and I have found it quite doable now. Unfortunately it was so bad that It will take a long time for any one to venture there again. I am doing BKK via PEK next month and have no problem dealing with it now. One hour is still tight, though.

I have done the SFO/LAX to SIN a few times now and I have found it quite pleasant in business but horrible in Y on the 787.
