Have you called International Award Reservations at 1-888-674-4680 to see if you can ticket a Star Alliance award on the flights you desire? If so, what did they say? That there is no availability? If you give me your desired dates of travel for SFO-MUC-IST and IST-MUC-SFO I can ring LH to see if they have award space for me as a LH M&M member. That doesn't mean that they will make that same inventory available to UA/MP's flyers but it may be an indication. I do not know how/when LH releases award inventory over time to their partners?
