I thought traveling in Polaris, even if it is your very first UAL flight, allows one to use the Polaris Lounge ("Customers traveling in United Polaris business class or United Polaris first class on long-haul international flights may access the lounge before departure"). Does this mean that GS customers traveling in non-long-haul Polaris (whatever that is at this point in time from ORD) have access to the lounge? Given the fact that GS doesn't even get you UC access except when flying int'l premium cabins), I would be surprised if that is the case. Any thoughts? Typo? Giving the sleeve's off of one's vest? Am I confused or have I missed something (always a possibility)?
Like many benefits listed on that page it’s not GS exclusive. Being GS does nothing special for getting into the Polaris lounge.
