He was, I agree. But I took it as mocking their sense of self-importance. The way he fancied himself as equal in ability to the detectives and doing a similar job? The very end (“I am with the T-S-MF’ing-A”?) like naturally, as a TSA agent, he was the only genius who knew something was wrong and could find his friend?

Just the fact that the TSA agents were flattered and fast tracked Peele speaks volumes. They didn’t get the irony.
