as for your case, I’m not sure if buying domestic F permits opening domestic saver F award space.
Domestic F qualifies for insuring saver awards when traveling with a GS who has booked a paid domestic F. I have done this many times to HNL and on transcend.
In any event the problem was fully resolved by HUCA.
