Thank you for the advice, just got off phone with a Senior Citi Thank You Advisor, after explaining the situation, they awarded me 15k TY points to apologize for the inconvenience and said I could buy the ticket I needed on my Citi Prestige card using said 15k TY points and they would refund the difference between 15K TY points and cost of flight as a statement credit. Since this would be ~$6k revenue cash flight I requested they mail me a letter restating that. We'll see when letter arrives ~7 biz days.
In addition, they are opening a case to investigate where the points went, so within 5 biz days the 85k points should either be in Asia Mile account or back in my Citi TY Account.
Good work. Citi's losing the battle with Chase/Amex so they can't afford one of their key features to be malfunctioning. Normally, I'd feel bad with the fortunate mistakes during my transfer, but after all the cuts to the Prestige, no offer of lowering AF- Whatever.
