Because BA have always guaranteed that two seats will be released in CW and four in WT on every flight. This usually happens at T-355 days. But when a new service gets plugged into the timetable it's like dozens of 355 days all at once, and the year round announcement was only made today:
On March 25, the airline’s first flight touched down at Mahé International Airport so customers can now fly direct from
Heathrow Terminal 5 to one of the most desirable holiday destinations in the world. British Airways is the only airline offering a non-stop service from the UK. The flights are to be operated by the airline’s newest aircraft to the fleet, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with four cabins: World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), Club World (business class) and an exclusive eight-suite First cabin. Scattered across the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles are famed as some of the most idyllic islands on the planet, offering honeymooners, families and sun worshippers world famous beaches, crystal clear waters, easy island hopping and colourful coral reefs.
Flights depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the route timetable is perfectly positioned for honeymooners and holidaymakers keen to immerse themselves in island-life for longer and book 10-night trips and extend their break.
Richard Tams, British Airways’ spokesperson who flew on the very first flight, said: “The Seychelles is called the ‘land of perpetual summer’ and the route has proved so popular with our leisure customers that we are delighted to start serving the destination year-round.”
Return fares start from £699 in
