There was some recent discussion about this specifically with regards to Guest of Honor bookings, and the answer in that case seemed to be no. That would make me think that it's unlikely one could do so with rewards nights, but I don't personally have any data points.

It's really unfortunate suite upgrade awards cannot be shared with friends and family.
I think this is one example where the World of Hyatt program can make a positive change.
