Trying to book a ticket for my mother in law.

She wants to to travel ORF-DEN Aug 4, DEN-RAP Aug 10 and RAP-ORF Aug 18.

All dates are midweek so should be the cheapest fares.

I assumed UA has its hub in DEN so they could do cheapest and most direct - but RAP and ORF flights are via ORD - would prefer to minimize connections ofcourse.

Expedia is giving me $469 cheapest fare.

I have also thought of separate flights ORF-DEN and DEN-RAP but that doesn't seem to help.

I know it's a weird routing - she is visiting family all over.

Any thoughts on how to find the cheapest fare - preferably closer to $300.
