If you really want club access, you may want to go ahead and pay for it. You cannot book club rooms with points. As far as an upgrade, there’s no guarantee that your status will get you an upgrade. You would get upgraded if you were Ambassador, but that still won’t guarantee you club access, just potentially a slightly better room since you’re booking with points.
