Requested to transferred 85k Citi TY points to CX Asia Miles on 3/11, now two weeks later 3/25 points still haven't posted to Asia Miles. Therefore couldn't get the award ticket I wanted, but managed to book backup flight through AA miles.
Asia Miles says can 6-8 weeks, while Citi says points should transfer within 14 days. Think it's possible to have Citi cancel the transfer and reinstate the points?
Call Citi or tweet their support. I had a failed Flying Blue transfer which caused me to miss out on the redemption. Make some noise. I got lucky with how I came out (YMMV since there was a known issue with Flying Blue transfers):
- They refunded my transferred points
- They also gave me TY point equivalent of the cash price so I could book the rev tickets and just "pay with points"
- The sweetest part is that the transfer eventually went through anyways. I kept my points in addition to the ones Citi gave me as goodwill. Managed to book the flights I needed via the points in my Flying Blue account.
