So best option for a 1K (alternative airlines)

So I have been a somewhat loyal UA 1K member. Each year doing more *A flights and do take non *A flights as well. For the main part the last couple of years have been good as a 1K, although for a couple of years before that pretty bad and before that 1K was brilliant (think GCF days ).

So although the people experience is getting better at UA (everyone these days is thanking me for being a 1K member) and service is good, the deterioration in the soft product is starting to get to me. I am in the Polaris business/domestic first cabins more often than not, sometimes on upgrades but just as likely paid. The lack of healthy snacks on the domestic legs is resulting in me bringing my own (my homemade whole wheat no sugar banana bread had folks asking me where I had bought it), and cannot believe UA do not cater unsalted almonds, etc. on domestic legs, and the drink selection is unappealing to me personally.

So am considering my options for where I may get status match. I realize this is a UA forum but thinking folks may have some good suggestions.

I do like the GPUs and have been able to use them each year, I fly to London from the west coast 4-5 times a year, doing a bit more domestic travel but fly Southwest for the majority of those flights, go to Hawaii 1-2 times a year, somewhere in Asia once a year and somehwhere in Europe once a year. All my own spend so am price sensitive (so not a GS type).

Switch to a *A carrier? Move to a US legacy carrier? Or stay with UA and accept deterioration of soft product as it is no greener anywhere else?

Thank you for all constructive thoughts and comments.
