I'll add that I've noticed that often the payment will post in the transactions section of the webpage but the balance "at a glance" will take longer to update to reflect the payment.

I posted to see if it was only my account or if others were having the issues. Clearly it is something that is common which I didn't know before as mine were posting much quicker.
