Just another cautionary remark on LA travel vouchers, issued as a compensation. They now are only valid 6 months and the cash option is now by bank transfer to an account in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador and Uruguay only.
So overseas visitors ate mostly out of luck, as the 6 months period is hardly enough for future travel plans and the cash option fails due to the lack of a regional bank account. Which I think is awful: First you suffer from a service breach and then compensation turns out to be useless.
I personally managed to get a cash refund in their LIM main office, but I had to negotiate very hard for about an hour (!) and escalate to the supervisor. Helpful was the webpage clearly stating this option.
