"Better" is a decision only you can make. I doubt you can do it with miles unless your original ticket was a mileage ticket. Call them and find out, and then report back to the community.
Remember, I gave you a healthy time in HNL to minimize the possibility of missing your UA flight. If you have more risk-tolerance, you can connect with less time.
