Nope, I'm not OK with buying a walk-up ticket to MCT at all. This is a mini-TP-run / holiday so it's coming out of my own pocket.

I'm OK with my LHR-MCT running late and missing my onward QR flight from MCT because the no-show rescue fee on my onwards MCT-DOH-BKK-DOH-MCT is less than the EU261 compo I'll get.

I'll look into doing a B2B from LGW instead I guess. Am I better off with an RFS or a cash ticket, or does it make no difference?

PS: Does anyone know if the AMEX Platinum 'missed connection' insurance covers self-connects between different tickets?
