I think you need 10 days at least. They need this to deliver the upgrade voucher to your address.

If you insist, MPC will handle it up to four to three days before departure. You will probably be asked to pay an expedite handling fee for that, about 30 USD? forgot the exact amount. In this case, they will telex the station you are flying from and you can pick up the MCO voucher there. (They will either have it prepared at check-in or will write one on the spot.)

If you are originating in HKG, you can also apply for upgrade at the service desk.
